In Face of Gaza Devastation National Bishop Calls Church to Raise its VoiceWe Must Advocate for an End to Violence and Share our Hope for Peace ELCIC National Bishop-elect Larry Kochendorfer has written a letter to ELCIC members following news of escalating military operations in Gaza City, including ground assault. “It is devastating to witness hundreds of thousands of people forced out of Gaza City with nowhere to shelter and no access to bare necessities,” he writes.
The Bishop-elect urges ELCIC members to write to their Member of Parliament, advocating for an end to violence. KAIROS has created an easy way for us to do this - they have written the letter, all we need to do is visit their Letter to Gaza page, fill in our name, email and address, and they will send on our behalf. “We stand in solidarity with the people of Gaza and the West Bank who are paying the heaviest price for this war,” he continues. “Our prayers remain with our Palestinian siblings, and our commitment is to continue walking with them in their struggle for justice, dignity and peace.” Read/download the full letter here.
