Lenten Book StudyUnSettling the Word Lenten Book Study: We will be studying selections from the book Unsettling the Word. In this volume over 60 Indigenous and Settler authors come together to wrestle with the Scriptures, re-reading and re-imaging the ancient text for the sake of reparative futures. The study will take place via Zoom on Feb. 25, Mar. 4, 11 and 18 at 7.30 PM. Please see Jim Berger to register. For generations, the Bible has been employed by settler colonial societies as a weapon to dispossess Indigenous and racialized peoples of their lands, cultures, and spiritualties. Given this devastating legacy, many want nothing to with it. But is it possible for the exploited and their allies to reclaim the Bible from the dominant powers? Can it serve as an instrument for justice in the cause of the oppressed? Even a nonviolent weapon toward decolonization? Join the Book Study and explore these questions. |

Broken and Whole
No heart is as whole as a broken heart,
and I would say no faith is as solid as a wounded faith.
