1. We have worked together with the Anglican Diocesan Refugee Unit and the First Church of the Nazarene to help co-sponsor a family from Afghanistan. You can read about their story here. Donors have already contributed $50,000 of $55,000 needed. If you would like to help close the gap you can make a donation on our Canada Helps Page and select "Refugee Support, Fatima Q's family Fund," on the drop down menu.
2. We also helped an extended family here in Canada, co-sponsor their relatives - a small young family with a baby in Ethiopia. All of the necessary funds have been collected and the paper work submitted. We are waiting for news from Canada's refugee agency to learn when the family will be allowed to enter Canada.
