Hello Everyone!

A message from Pastor Vida -

“This Sunday, September 29th we will culminate the Season of Creation with a special themed worship service – Water: Gift of God, Gift of Life.In preparation we are inviting you to think about all the places in your surrounding neighborhood and home where water is found. When you have that place in your mind’s eye (and it can be the water coming from your tap) reflect on how many different ways that water is used. And then wonder/reflect further on  how all those uses of water may be connected in different ways to our baptismal identity. You are invited to bring a small jar of water (4-5oz) from one of the sources of water in your neighborhood to our worship service to pour into the baptismal font at the appointed time. If you are bringing water from a stream or other source that is not from your tap, the only stipulation is that it be not muddy but clear/clean and free of debris or pebbles.  I look forward to gathering with you on Sunday and celebrating the waters of life that sustain us.”- Pastor Vida

Following this special service there will be a barbecue to welcome everyone back from their summer fun.  You are invited to bring a side dish. Dessert will be provided.

Flourishing Congregations Survey

Our congregation has partnered with the Flourishing Congregations Institute to be part of a national Canadian study about what makes for strong congregations, and we would like your help! Please take 20 minutes to fill out an anonymous national online survey at  https://tinyurl.com/fc234c We hope for 50% or more of our adult attenders to fill out the 20 minute survey. With strong survey involvement, we will access data unique to our congregation. Fill out the survey in the next month and be entered into a draw for one of five $50 Amazon gift cards.

To learn more about the survey, the larger project, and many of the anticipated benefits to arise, visit www.flourishingcongregations.org/national-survey. The Church Council thanks you, in advance, for completing this survey!
