Our last Conversation Circle of 2023 moved into the kitchen for a Pierogy Party! Our kitchen quickly filled with industrious sights and sounds of - happy hands rolling, stuffing, and cooking pierogis serenaded by members of the Friendship дружба vocal ensemble - it was quite the feast! The pictures tell the story! 

And here's Oksana's recipe for her signature pierogy dough. 

1. In a large bowl add 3 cups of flour.

2. Stir in 3 Tablespoons of flour and 1 teaspoon of salt 

3. Blend ingredients together

4. Add 1 cup of boiling water

5. Mix together until a soft dough forms

6. Place a towel over the bowl and let stand for awhile so that the ingredients "love" each other.  (very important step!) 

7. Take out the dough and shape into a cylinder. Slice off small discs and roll into a small patties. 

8. Spoon in your favorite filling and pinch sides closed.
