A reminder about Holy Week events:

Holy Saturday Retreat 31 March  9:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.  –. Held at Gloria Dei, in conjunction with St. Clement’s.  Led by the Rev. Dr. Lynne McNaughton, pastor at St. Clements. The focus is on the conflicted feelings of grief, loss and hopefulness that are associated with any transition in lives. Lynne suggested that given the transition that Gloria Dei is going through, it might be a good idea to have the retreat at Gloria Dei.  Please consider coming to this, it really is wonderful! – but register first by calling St. Catherine’s church office.  

Easter Vigil Saturday 8:00 p.m. 31 March - Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church. St. Clements will also be participating. Pastor Carolina Glauster presiding;  Also, 8:00 p.m. St. Martin’s Anglican Church 195 E. Windsor Rd. N is holding an Easter Vigil. We are more than welcome to attend either of these services.  

Easter Sunday - Gloria Dei 10:00 AM Pastor Sylvia Schmidt will be preaching and presiding.  There will be an Easter Egg hunt for the children following the service.  

OTHER NEWS:

Sue  is having knee surgery today.  Please keep her in your prayers.  

Spring Cleanup – please come and help get the church polished up inside and out!  Light refreshments will be served. Start time: 9:00 AM Date: Saturday April 7th.  

On April 8th following the church service there will be a congregational meeting to get an update from the Renewal committee on what they have been doing.    

Espiritu Concert   Dawn Siegel-Saunders would like to invite all of Gloria Dei to our Spring Concert in West Vancouver.  Tickets are available through Dawn Siegel Saunders 604-929-2432 or through Eventbrite on our website. Dawn and Mark Likness are both members of this choir.

Other reminders:

-         Food Bank – this month we are collecting soup, juice and pasta.

-         Flower Chart – the flower chart looks pretty bare.  Please sign up for a week or two.
